Hi I have a question, can you cut out the parts of the cylinder wall that are covering the transfer ports?just got an engine kit and there is casting and flashing covering most of the transfer ports openings up in the cylinder it would make it a little easier to live if I could cut those pieces out to clean it up... Any advice? Thanks

Other than structural integrity it should be OK, I've never seen it done. If you are OK with taking the chance go for it.

Right I was thinking it may make it spread a little when it heats up... I've got another cylinder I think I'm going to try it on first...I can't think of a way to get the casting blobs in the top of the ports out, the angle don't seem like it will work with a Dremel... Maybe a really skinny grinding bit? I know I don't want to put a mark in the cylinder
