Customizing/modding the top of the piston

I was watching a video about modifying the top of the piston and shaving the bottom edge on the intake side to maximize air flow.

The guy channeled the left and right sides and front of the piston ever so slightly. About 1/3 the thickness of the top edge above the top ring. He said it helped the transfer flow of the air fuel ports .

Has anyone attempted this and if so what is your experience with it?

doing that to either the top or bottom of the piston will change the port timing (& it almost always makes the engine run worse)

Thats probly why he blew the engine up and had the piston out of the bike to show in his vid huh?
