After waiting a few centuries, amazon and ebay sent me my parts to do a rebuild on my top end, but as the title suggests, I can not do so. the new piston, pinon and bearing are too small in diameter compaired to the old one and would knock severly in the connecting rod. The old piston had a chunk fly off it and out my exhaust so clearly the old one cant be used. Tomorrow I was planning to go to a machine shop if any were open, to see if they can make a filler piece or bushing of sorts out of the old pinion so I can use the old bearing with the new pinion and piston. but if anyone else has any better ideas I would love to hear it. Thanks.

I suggest getting the correct parts
Well I don't have a caliper to measure the pinion size nor do I really want to spend more money than I already dumped into this thing trying to find the right piston. do you really think a bushing would be that bad for the engine? I mean it is what it is, also all the machine shops aren't open so I guess to the hardware store I go for a caliper and to Amazon I go there after

I concur with wrench... Get the correct parts.

Go get the caliper & measure the old parts so you can buy the correct ones this time.
Also... eBay is probably a better place to find the parts you need.

It would also help if we knew exactly what engine you have.

I've looked on both eBay and Amazon apart from one or two listings on both sites with a windowed piston I can't find a piston with a 50 mm bore and a 12 mm pinion hole. I don't want the windowed one because I don't feel like installing a reed valve, well at least I heard you need a read valve with the windowed one.
Know any other place I might be able to order one?

Honestly bro... Making a bushing for the wrong parts to fit, is just putting a band-aid on it. (It's going to fail real fast). :(

Who did you buy the engine from???
