Computer Virus?

I keep hearing about a computer virus or worm called Conflicker that's supposed to do something today. Anybody know if we have anything to worry about of if it's just some April Fools Day joke?

my brother in law. works for ibm. he seemed and little concerned. Be sure your malware protection is up to date! as you should always do
 
I run linux no worries here Ubuntu 804 64bit. It gots immunities!! 98 percent of all virus's are windows problem..........
 
Yea I'm on a Mac so I would not know.
But as a precaution the school that my wife works on has been told today as a precaution to run computer free today.
Apparently they survived.
 
I think it's mostly just media hype to get you freaking out and making a mad dash to upgrade your pc! When that virus first came out, a few months or so ago, the majority of the computers it infected weren't even in this country.

What he said......keep your pc up to par and you won't have a problem.
