If you're talking about the ball bearing that goes in before the bucking bar, a magnet small enough to fit into the bore of the drive sprocket will work. Sometimes that bearing is stuck in grease and needs a little help. It should come out easily.
If a magnet doesn't drag it out you might try spraying some degreaser into the hole first to loosen things up.

Tap it off gently. Damaging the shaft will make it harder to remove.
I also use a small two jaw puller for stubborn bearings.
