We're all familiar with the cheap heat guard provided for our clutch cables and the poorly designed and positioned cover anchor on the engine frame. The cable inevitably kinks and is a major cause of
greater pressure required when disengaging the clutch. I solved this problem quite simply.
Some lawn mowers with solid wire throttle cables have a similar (but better) guard attached to them. They simply unscrew from the sheath and can be used on ours. They fasten better and they transition the cable through the anchor much smoother. A pics of mine is attached along with an example of the cable I'm referring to.
