Choke turns itself on.

So after chasing countless air leaks, I finally got rid of them; however I have a new issue. For whatever reason the choke turns it self on now when riding, and it causes the bike to run way too rich and bog out. I wonder if there is some mechanical issue that is causing this or if it is merely that the choke rides up a little after each bump. Any ideas?

You gotta loose nut!
on the pivot bolt.
Remove air filter and do the deed.

thanks, that was it! I thought it was held in with pin from the looks of it, and that's what threw me off

Common problem. I used to carry a rubber band with me in case it loosened up on a ride.

I've got the same problem with my stock carb the fuckin choke gets loose and rises closing off the air, like thr man said and it works ,a rubber band or a hair tie around the float and and the choke arm one twist of the rubber and it'll hold down

I replaced the but with a nylon lock nut and have not had a problem since.
