Anybody have any tips or secrets on getting the sprocket to run as true as possible??? my chain keeps jumping off before i can get a good pedel in. Thanks guys.

Make sure both sprockets run in line with one another.
3/4" free play in the chain in the middle of the top run.
Move both the rear wheel, and the engine if need be to line things up.

Also, check the rear sprocket, it can be put on either way.

HI,

Other than possible alignment issues you may want to also bevel the teeth on the rear sprocket....that can also cause problems the chain not wanting to stay on.

Hope this helps you.

I'am not found of using an Idler. However they do work and take observing, meaning do study it!!!! 4000 miles on my first build, wore out three idlers so far fixing on my fourth. I didn't get mine to completly line up. It acts serves a teinsioner, and a derailer. Hope this helps. One more thing get a ball bearing one from Thatsdax, the stocks ones didn't impress me the bearing is nicer, and quiter last longer too! You do want to line the chain as best you can
