Can these tires fit?

Hi. I just bought a motor less mid 60’s Huffy that has dry rotted tires that I need to replace. The tires on there are 26 x 1.75’s. I really like the look of a set of white 26 x 2.125’s that I found. The narrowest gap on the front fork is 2 ½ and the back is 2 ¾. Will they fit on those wheels? And if they did, am I just inviting my nice new tires to be eaten by the drive chain down the road? Thanks

I'd say stick to 1.95's if you want to run fenders or need clearance for mud and/or snow. Otherwise, go for it. Most stores will take them back if you were careful mounting them and didn't ride them but were disappointed with the clearance they provided.

As long as the tires will fit in the frame you should be good to go, I run 2.125s on all of my bikes. I would stay away from white walls though because the rear won't be white for long. I see I'm not the only Rat Rod Biker here, that is a great bike and yes they would dig it over there...Kelly

Kool bike! Love the head light concept. Watch out for that pants leg eating front sprocket. Evil thought; could be modified into spare gas tank?

I think you will be real close with 2.125's although I did get them to work on a recent build. Those tires will fit the rims and frame for sure.

Prof, when you install your drive sprocket make sure that it is dished out, this will aid in clearing the tire. As I said I use fat tires on all of my builds and only have one with a minor rub that I've been riding that way for over a thousand miles. Your middle weight frame should be your only obstacle for the tires...Kelly

Absolutly, there are some real artists there. I haven't been real active there recently but I will say that I have one of Firewalkers kustom seats...Kelly
