Burning Smell on new engine

This engine doesn't even have 10 miles on it. It's it normal to have a small to it? It seems like burned plastic sort of. I checked all the cables they're all clear from the motor my guess it's the paint on the farm on the bike.dnut
 
The engine/exhaust have a bunch of crap on them from shipping, you handling them, installing them, etc. Plus whatever stuff was on them from being built. Perfectly normal.

When I built the engine in my car smoke rolled off of the exhaust/engine for a good 30 minutes, haha.
