I need to move my bicycle seat back about two or three inches. It isn't urgent but I would like to do it. So somebody tell me how ones does that without a lot of fuss.

Deacon, I cut my seat post into three peices. Two 45 degree cuts. I rotated the cuts so it moved the seat back about two inches and then welded it back together. That would be some good practice for your welding machine.......................

Don't do it. Look at where that seat is now. It's almost directly above your rear axle.
You move that seat back enough to go past that rear axle it's a guaranteed wipeout. Your front wheel will go up and over.

That has already happened lol.. Cracked my tail bone. I looked at the picture and i think I agree with you. However the old banana seats were all the way back.

Ah but where does the sissy bar mount to? The axle! Even a banana seat when sitting all the way back you are still in front of the wheel axle.

Well I can't see the picture because I'm at work...but, do you just need more distance from the handlebars? Might try getting a new stem/bars to move them forward instead of moving the seat back...

okay no seat movement. If it stops raining I'll give adjusting the handle bars some experimenting.
