Big end connecting rod bearing failure

How do I replace the big end connecting rod bearing or should I just buy a new crank assembly to replace the old one my piston rod won't even move on the big end at all

You press it apart with a big shop press and special pins, then replace the bearings, pin and rod. It takes careful work and measurement to get it back together right.

Certainly buying a new crank assembly is the easiest option, and often cost effective. My supplier does not sell assembled cranks but the parts to do it are $35 and getting the job done is at least $50. Unless you can press it yourself, it pays to buy another engine.

I'm just gonna buy a new bottom end from that's dax and sell my usable parts to buddy to off set the cost

swapping a crank or even a whole bottom end is OK for a hobbyist, but as a repair shop that charges for labor, I always recommend swapping to a new motor

I just replaced the top end already so its basically a new motor the piston and cyclinder have less than an hour on them
