i just got hit by a car yesterday and my bike is totaled. i figured i would start from the ground up this time and get a better motor and a cooler bike. help a brother out!
I feel like you should start by being glad you're alive. Car's are a major threat to everyone on two wheels. People are horrible drivers, and it's on each of us to be as defensive as possible. I would recommend upgrading the bike next time. Something with disc brakes maybe.

I just bought the Dax GT50R and it should arrive in a day or two. The motor is $174, but you have to have a friction drive setup already. My kit cost $309 with the friction drive. I bought it to climb my 900 foot "hill".
