Bad top end.

Rats. My top end for the 66 chinagirl is basically dead, and probably the bottom end too. Pulled the jug today and it is full of long scrapes where the chrome has been scraped off. I think that's bad. Also scorch marks all along the sides of the piston. Pretty bad. Also scorch marks on the crank when I position the piston to TDC. Lol I think I may have been getting a tad bit of ring blowby. Maybe I nicked the rings when I put the jug back on a month back? Oh well, $30 for a new piston, jug, rings. Not bad of a price.

Well, that's the one saving grace of the chinagirls... they are a cheep date!

what kinda oil are u running???

make sure that pennzoil is for air cooled engines. if it says marine oil on the bottle, its the wrong kind, and thats what did your cylinder in. trust me, i used to use it cause it was cheap and easy to get. I bought a top end kit for that engine, but the crank was done for, wasted my money. better off getting a replacement engine on ebay for 90 bucks.
