That's going to be a tight fit. Be prepared for a offset manifold at the least. Bikes like that, were the down tube curves toward the seat post require the engine to be mounted higher in the frame.

That frame is shaped like a Kent LaJolla. There's been a few successful builds of those bikes. I think they all required a offset manifold.

Bleh, no thanks. The video on the page can basically be summed up as:
"Too stupid to shift a bicycle? Well now you don't have to!
Now I don't have to be fiddling around with confusing levers!
I was so confused by which gear I always had to be in. "

The mechanism that shifts seems neat, but I don't see why they couldn't just sell the dérailleur as a separate unit. If you could buy just the auto dérailleur, it may be something that would work well on a jackshaft. Don't know how it would hold up to having way more RPMs and torque than it was designed for.

The question is: would it automatically shift if one used a shift kit so the engine would be using the same drive sprocket as the pedals? Sort of like using a NuVinci?

Wow. It's been years since I last saw one of those bicycles. Didn't know they still made them.
