I'm thinkin' yellow stripe the tanks like the tires.....that would set it off! Nice job biknut.

I doubt I'll ever paint the tanks, but if I did it would probably just be flat black. If I ever get crazy though I'll strip and polish them. I like the look of polished aluminum.

Yeah, polished aluminum is one of my favorite finishes (looks), but it is a real chore too keep it looking that way without a clearcoat or constant maintenance and a tub of Mothers. One of my favorite race bikes that I still own is my polished aluminum Mammoth Mtn. Bike (the RC 301 w/ elevated chain stays).....it's a work of art.
