Im looking at getting a wide pedal crank kit. Ive noticed most vendors carry a 1 piece and a 3 piece but no differnt sizes. Ive noticed when you shop for regular cranksets theres a huge variety of sizes for bottom brackets, pedals, axels, crank arms. So if i buy a 3 piece crank set how do i know of itll fit my bottom bracket?

Do this routine first:

Is your engine already mounted?

If not, place it EXACTLY where it will mount.

Spin your pedals, and measure EXACTLY how much offset needed to clear your engine.

Give yourself a half inch more on each side, if you like.

Now remove your bottom bracket(BB).

Is it a one-piece cartridge?

Measure the BB cartridge from tip to tip.

Add it to the offset you measured, and that's what you need.

Log on to Sickbikeparts; they have them in 131.5mm(5.18"), 153mm(6.02") and 226mm(8.9"):

If it's NOT a one-piece cartridge, come back for more information.
