Are these cheap small engines any good long distance riding? How far do you ride yours?

Im wanting to ride my BSA about 32 kilometres to work as long as I have a big enough gas tank, so far it performs really well (around my small country town) doesnt miss a beat.
Also after the last speed test it topped out at 44.5 kilometres an hour is that pretty normal as I thought it might of bin able to go faster then that, Its a standard "80"cc I was told when I Purchased second hand next bike builds getting a 125cc I think.

Your speed is a little below what most people get from a 66cc engine, 80cc is marketing and not the actual engine displacement. If you are mechanically inclined you can do a few upgrades to improve speed. Read through the performance upgrade posts here, do one upgrade at a time to see if it works or not. A lot of people do several changes that makes it hard to find which went wrong.

Your straight plug head is probably a lower compression style which was the standard a few years ago, I would check the compression to see what it has. I would also get a good air cleaner to keep dirt and debris out of the carb.

6mm head studs and flat bottomed transfers on the case.
40 mm piston and a small combustion chamber.
I have one of those motors.

Anyone with experience with these motors would know at a glance that
no 66cc looks like that.

From what I see on the net you are topping out at about 28 mph which is much better than mine did stock.
