Are 2 stroke engines reliable?

The china kits look like they would be a lot of fun for a home-made go-kart with small wheels though, esp something with 1 wheel peel. I bet you could get around pretty good with 20" wheels and BMX freewheels.
 
you could use standard go kart wheels, you'd just have to change the gear ratio.
you'd have to drop the axle gear down to a pretty small one because standard go kart wheels are so small in diameter.

of corse the quality sucks...you're getting a complete 2 stroke engine for around $100.00....what more do you want?
you get what you pay for, and the china girls are throw away engines.
run em til they die, buy a new one.
if you want a high quality 2 stroke, you'll end up paying 3 times what you pay for the china girls.
I say yes, they are cheaply made with low quality parts but can you get any more bang for your buck?

Sometimes I'm jealous of those morini guys racing down the street with a big smile on their face.

But I'm smilin' navigating the gutter, too. :-)
