anyone tried these boost bottles?

I have a Boost bottle on my bike and I've tried it with and without the hose
being connected (I block off the manifold connector pipe) and it has a smoother idle and smoother acceleration. So from my experience I'd recommend it. Although,
I wouldn't install that BIG brass fitting into the manifold. Instead, alumiweld a
small 1/8th aluminum pipe, that's available from hobby shops to the top of your
aluminum manifold, or braze a steel 1/8th tube to your steel manifold.
The end result is that I DO LIKE it!

what is that metal switch box you have back there?

The aluminum "switch box" contains a 17 amp 12 volt gel cell battery, which
provides plenty of power to light the led lights mounted to the bottom of the
seat and brake light and handle bar mounted led's. Plus I have a 40 watt 12 volt farm implement headlight mounted to the springer forks that I can flip on for some extremely bright light. The two switch's are for the day riding lights and the top switch turns on the headlight separately. I recharge the battery after 25-30 hours of use with a small trickle charger that plugs into an adapter under the seat, that way makes it simple to recharge. If I flip on the 40 watt headlamp it will draw the battery down fairly fast, maybe a good 45-50 minutes of steady use, but it REALLY lights up the road late at night.I tried out various ideas on powering the lights from the engine or wheel mounted generators, but they weren't hardy enough to last at higher sustained speed or robbed power from
our feeble little engines. Set up this way, I get LOTS of light when I need it and
a simple overnight charge and it's good to go!.
I do like the idea of an oil slick spray though, I'll have to dwell on that one for a while.
