Anybody seen this tensioner?

I saw this on eBay and its only 20 dollars theirs one like it for 40 dollars made in MI on eBay too.

Do you guys think its worth half the money as the other one?

I like that "patent pending" in the listing- that design was made by a member Kip several years ago and offered as the Kip-Springer....If you are going to buy one, the $20 one isn't much different mechanically than the other...just hit it with a grinder/flap disc to smooth it out and drill a few litening holes

There are some of us who do not like spring tensioners. There are better ways to tension the chain. No matter who makes them, a chain tensioner will allow slack in the chain when you least want or need it. Try going without any tensioner. Get the alignment right, keep the chain at 1/2" to 3/4" of slack and save your money.

Absolutely. ..if you must use one use it on the pedal side instead.

I wanted a spring tensioner because that way I don't have to brake the chain every time I want to change the sprocket. I switch between and 41 and 44 sometimes depending on where I want to ride. I also plan on getting a 50t.

If you have a OCC Schwinn the chain is so long you need a guide to keep it straight. At least I do.
