An engine on these

These old 1970's vintage bikes would look good with an engine. If I came home with 1 though my wife wouldn't be quiet for weeks. LOL!

They look like they would take an engine pretty nicely... You could even run a jack shaft and use the 3 speed unit for an easy shifter bike.

Those would make a great buy, get them both and keep one for spares.
Orrrrrr build them both, sell one, get most of the money back.
2 are as easy as one. Like making sammiches.

I am convinced that the "classic" "lightweight" straight triangle frame is the best for happy time motors. That's what they were designed for. That motor needs to be wedged in there tight on the tubes.

Like a "flying pigeon" frame.

Those two 1970's bikes look really nice and I put my vote in for you to buy them. Ok, so you might get nagged a little over it, but life's too short not to experience the joy of riding cool bicycles.

I have been thinking about getting 1. The frame is probably a lot tougher along with the rims and spokes.
