ive spent a lot of time shoehorning my l;ittle mroini clone (denardis) motor

http://www.denardisengines.com/50cc.html

into my worksman frame

im running it through a 2-speed gearbox (1:1/2:1). it tops out at around 30
yet evem geared that low, i was going up a steep hill yesterday and the the clutch was slipping to the point that the bike wouldnt move....engine ws revving like **** though...just no GO.
it drove home fine
am i missing something here?

what where your RPMs when you got to the hill the morini dosent have the power down low you need to attack a hill with it its a 11000 RPM engine

very nice bike though

Yes more pix. Nice to see the link for the engine you used. Build pix? Like to see your gear box you made on the side there

so far these are the ones i have. ill post more after the holiday

the gear box is operated by a dog-clutch, it offers a choice of 1:1 and 1:2
THUD built it check out his post here:

i must admit though, the $500 DeNardis motor is a bit disappointing. I was promised Morini power, but it must be hidden somewhere beneath the clutch case oil leak the motor also came with.
ive changed the exhaust a bit from the ones here, fixed the leak and restricted the muffler a bit I got more torque, but c'mon...with the equivalent of a 120t sprocket in low gear,, it shouldnt go up hill like it was just kicked in the groin :(
im beginning to think that mr DeNardis' talent is not in running motors... but in running a good line of BS...

Wish I knew more so that I could actually help. It sounds like the clutch needs stiffer springs maybe. Is it supposed to be a wet or dry clutch. If dry I wonder if it has gotten grease or oil on the plates. Somebody, somewhere must have an idea. Good luck to you. That's a fine looking bike!
