i'm at the point of gearing up so to speak.
any suggestions on this matter would be welcomed.
i believe i want to purchase the EZM Q-Matic and their site is for their (recommended) steel product 56t sprocket, and i noticed at AGK has the aluminum ones.
any benefits on either one ? i assume maybe EZM would know but i am curious what ya'll think.
thanx so very much.

I'm not a 4 stroke builder but I've used both steel and aluminum sprockets. I was originally skeptical of aluminum but after several thousand miles on two, 2 stroke bikes, they have performed well with no appreciable wear. Me thinks you'll be good with either.
That's just based on my experience. Other's might have different opinions based on theirs. Stay tuned.

yes, and I thank you 2door you seem to have my back and well appreciated.
that said, had a wonderful chat with Lynn at Custom Motored Bicycles
[email protected] she told me basically the same. (her build with a 79cc HF)
i'm still learn,n and this is soooooo much fun.
anyway i will be ordering what i believe are the correct components from her.
i'm lean'n towards the rear sprocket @ AGK. but other stuff i'm going with CMB.
THANX AGAIN.

Most of the Motocross bike aluminum sprockets are a tough alloy, and they wear as good as steel with 50hp on them. The only reason to chose Aluminum is weight. You could start by drilling big holes in your stock steel sprocket, but aluminum is the quickest way to the fun house.

I had the same aluminum sprocket on a bike for three years. The teeth wore down to little points, but the chain never jumped off.

So, I guess they work. ..

Aluminum is lighter and plenty strong. I've been using AGK's sprockets for a few years and I put them to the test.....they work great!
