Air Filter Oil?

I think I read somewhere about putting oil on the carb air filter. Is this so? My new kit comes with a dry filter and no oil. If I should saturate filter with oil, what kind and where should I buy? Thanks. -1969

If your engine is a 2 stroke then don't worry about oiling your filter element. After a couple of miles you'll find that normal blow-back of fuel/oil mix through the carburetor will keep your filter well oiled. The blow-back is normal so don't worry about it.
