Good information and informative, Bill.

It's too bad the EPA has shut down so many chrome shops. Even the chrome we get from China today is not the quality triple chrome plating jobs we used to get. I remember when a copper/nickel/chrome job was something you expected to get. Now, you're lucky if they even polish it right.
Good to see there are still some folks around that know how to do the job correctly.

It is hard to get any decent chroming at a reasonable price around here.
Most every chrome "shop" either ships it south or to L.A. Specialties or General Plating Company. Best to eliminate the middleman and skip the "shops".
 
There used to be 4 chromers in my area thanks to the government only 1 still survives that does quality work .I had tried a chrome shop in erie pa the last time I had chrome done there, I sent out 100 peices , sent back 50 , got those back an sent back 10 before they got it right .
