Something I drew up on MS paint. You could easily use a Dax or Staton friction drive for the base or bend your own. Peace

I like it too. I have a full suspension Mongoose that I would like to try that on. You wouldn't be limited to using smallish rollers to keep the ratio right. Larger rollers have way less resistance and slippage than the standard smallish ones most FD kits use.

Yeah no kidding. I think this design has been around since well... since there were friction drives . I was just show off some doodling I was doing on MS paint.

If I were to use a dax friction drive, all the components to build this would be about $350. I'm still debating if I want to try it. I sometimes get tired of engines on my bike and want to be able to just pedal around without the weight. This would be very easy to take on and off.

I agree about the functionality of the original bicycle but that's why I've chosen to use engines that weigh 7 or 8 lbs and not 25 or 30.
