80cc all built but not starting.

I just finished building my 80cc kit. The directions were pretty easy to follow. My engine skills are basic. The clutch works, I think i mixed the oil and gas right. It appears the engine is not actually getting fuel. I can see fuel in the hose but it does not seem to be getting in the engine. I pedal down hill then let out the clutch. it makes some muffled noise but does not start. The gas line is open too.

Can you smell gas if you take off the air cleaner? The first time starting is the worst, prime the carb a few times put half choke on and then try to start a few times. It should turn over. After you have tried that and it is still not starting remove the spark plug and see if you can smell gas on the plug if so you are getting fuel if not you will have to remove the float bowl and see if the jet is clogged. It's easy to do but make sure the fuel line is turned off.
