Found this site that sells reconditioned Predator 79cc engine for $59.99.

Shipping is too much, but if you live near Wareham, Massachusetts, they allow free pick up.

I've got two of the older Grey Hound 79cc engines still new in the box sitting out in my shop, those will get used on a couple of builds before I will ever need to get one of the 79cc Predator engines.

That deal may be that the engines are actually new but had a flaw that was corrected at the factory and then they have to be sold as reconditioned even though they are actually brand new engines.

The $30 212cc is intriguing. But when you look at the pics of a "typical" 212cc they're selling, it paints a different picture....

I was thinking I would buy one of the running (or not) 212's and then go thru a rebuild, but the choice becomes

  1. 60$ (including shipping) for one of these non-runners that has to be rebuilt (and parts bought to make it run)
  2. Spend $100 and get a brand new 212cc.

I think I will just wait for the next HF sale to pick up a new 212.

Deal would be great for someone local, though.
