Does anyone know if the 6mm head acorn nuts are 1 or 1.25 pitch.

I did a search before posting the question but came up dry.

i use nylock nuts on most of my bikes, as well as thicker flat washers. you'll notice after removing the head a few times the crappy flat washers are convex from biting into the aluminum.

i'd stay away from the stainless nuts. i've stripped a few threads on the studs because the metal's too soft, and stainless threads tend to be harder and sharper.

I use coupling nuts, instead of grabbing 4 or 5 threads I grab onto 1/2 inch
of the threads
