6.4 fl oz of oil on 2.5 gallon of gas

do to the shortage of oil around here///empty shelf's in a lot of stores that sell 2 stroke oil i was able to find a few bottles that have 6.4 oz in it but it tells me that i need to use whole bottle on 2.5 gallons of fuel this cant be right i use 8oz on 2 gallons right now.

There are some full synthetic oils that claim they can safely be mixed at lean ratios, like 50:1 & even 100:1... There are guys here who use them without any problems... I prefer to stick with the same oil that I used to break in the engine.

I just remembered something else... If you use a different oil & mix ratio, your carb jetting will need to be changed!!!

That's another reason I like to stick with the same oil for the life of the engine.
