The engine on the bike above(page 2) was from an atv. The trans was destroyed probably from catching reverse on the fly. After much eyeballing what was left I was able to reassemble the trans to have one gear, the highest. It still uses the shifter to select from neutral to drive. I geared the bike for a target speed of 35mph with a comfortable cruise of 30. It will actually top 40 if you want to really twist it. These engines easily top 9k rpm reliably and are very smooth while doing it. They have been built for so long by the Chinese I believe its hard to get a bad one, but I prefer a Lifan. 49ccs is plenty for a motorized bicycle, mine is a real hill climber when necessary.
