vertical 212 hf?

seen a few builds with the 99 vertical but wonder if the 212 can be run that way....if so my install on the ambassador will be alot easierdnut
 
I'm pretty sure it can, I think I've seen a thread from CulverCityClassics were he is building a 212cc vertical mount.
 
I thought he was doing a 99cc but i'll revisit it and look.....gotta unload this 99 locally too cuz im not gonna deal with shipping it unless I have to.
 
The 212 will work just like the 99cc. I have built a couple fast race bikes and ran em hard. Just change the rod and push rods and all is good. Check some of my old post for pictures.
 
just read through alot of it Culver.....very cool builds .....I'm gonna use whizzer belts off that TAV thing though....I think itll be okay if I size them all around whizzer clutch sizes
 
I will.....it really isnt a build persee (i'm using a 2008 whizzer ambassador) with a few mods so I can install the TAV on their shaft bearings...gonna try a 70mm pulley off that first and if it takes off okay leave it be. I wanted to use the 99 predator I have here but its a pain to get clutched on the TAV with the 5/8 shaft...I'll probably sell it to buy stuff instead.
its headed to the shop this weekend.....motor mounting
 
Thats what i noticed to when i checked them out on some fun carts at a go-cart shop close to work.

Still think you can fool someone with the 49cc stickers? lol
 
the stickers arent for me......all I gotta do around here is tell em its under 5hp and has a seat height of at least 26"....maybe a new sticker is in order!
 
yes it's the 212......its in a 2008 whizzer ambassador, thats why it looks small...call me if you wanna......I'll message you a number regarding the engine

btw...I just set the engine kinda in place just to see if it was all gonna fit.....I think it's okay.
 
That engine is huge...i have a hf like 3 miles from me and I drool over that motor everytime...racie thats gonna be a monster...I've seen scottos videos of his 212 and its a monster...good luck brother...would be wicked if it mounts vertical for you...
