I bought a used motor from a coworker. I have replaced the CDI, magneto, throttle, carburetor, clutch (the handle/cable and camshaft/ball) and drive chain.

I have spark. It seems like the new carburetor is operating as intended, as when I push the little button on the side the chamber floods with fuel.

It just wont start. If i take the air filter off the carb and try to engage to motor with the clutch off, I dont feel any air flow at the back of the carb. If i run the thing without a spark plug in I can hear the engine acting like its working.

My neighbor said I should take the head off and replace the gaskets? Im not sure what to do at this point, or what exactly replacement parts i need.

Have you tried adjusting the C-clip on the carb? or adjusting your choke during cold starts? tighten your bolts but if you really want to be sure make sure all your gaskets are there and not broken apart

When working on non start 2 strokes, If there is spark and compression, I put a little fuel into the cylinder through the spark plug hole. If this causes it to turn over/kick, sometimes it will start pulling fuel. If it kicks and dies, it is something with the carb.

My 14 year old son assembled his. It was getting spark and fuel but didn't start. He had reversed the coil trigger wires. For some reason he hooked black wire to the blue and the blue wire to the black.
