I like to warm up my engine before riding so I don't have to fumble with choke (un-safe). What works for me is to lean bike over on kickstand and spin rear wheel with clutch engaged. My engine always starts in less than 1/2 revolution....after it starts I lock the clutch and let it warm up until choke can be fully open.

That works...

I had one when the locking clutches first came out. Ya guessed it. Vibrated loose and bike took off. (scratched up the fender pretty good) So on that MB, I would use a piece of double sided velcro to double lock it. Worked really well and was cheap.
