Having an issue with my left side pedal staying on

So I recently installed one of those wide pedal crank sets, but ever since I installed it, it seems like the left side pedal keeps coming loose and falling off. I've even tried using Loctite on the nut and everything and it's still coming off. Are there any suggestions on what I can do to permanently fix this problem? I need the extended pedal crank set to clear the side of the engine. However, since I didn't have the specialized tool to completely remove the internal parts of the crank, so I just installed the wide pedal crank on the left side and left everything else stock. Could that be the reason why it's not working? Every time I would take my bike out for even just 10 or 15 minutes, the pedal would end up coming loose and it's extremely frustrating and I would like to permanently resolve this problem.

Did you put the right crank arm on the right side and the left crank arm on the left side? The right side has right hand threads for the pedals and the left side has left hand threads.

This is done so that when you pedal the pedals are always self tightening.

Yes, I put the correct one on the left side. It had an "L" sticker on it so I know it goes on the left.
Maybe the stickers were wrong or possibly you were mistakenly sent 2 right side crank arms. With the bike sitting on the wheels for either pedal you turn the wrench towards the front of the bike to tighten and towards the rear to loosen.

I'm assuming this is the wide crank set you purchased

yup. That looks like it. The only thing is that the long rod the kit comes with is not the one in the bike's frame, its still the stock one. But I need a tool to get the rest of it apart. Was going to plan to stop at my bike shop to get one soon. So it's probably cause I'm using the stock rod with the aftermarket crank arm.

Having a longer bottom bracket axle has nothing to do with the pedal coming off when you pedal. Which direction are you turning the wrench in order to tighten the pedal; towards the front of the bike or towards the rear????

The left side pedal falling off during use is caused by one of these 3 reasons:

1) Best case scenario; either you or the company misidentified the crank arm. The Right side was put on the Left side. Simple solution, switch out the crank arms.

2) The company mistakenly sent you 2 Right side crank arms. Contact the customer service and hope for the best.

3) You treated a Left hand thread like a Right hand thread. Thus, stripping out the threads in the crank arm. More than likely you'll need another Left side crank arm. Meaning you'll have to order another kit. If the crank arm holes are designed for ½" pedals you can take the crank arms to a bicycle shop and have them up the crank arms holes to ⁹/¹⁶" pedals.

As for removing the bottom bracket; most bicycle shops will refuse to work on any bicycle with a gas engine kit or electric motor kit on it. They do this to protect the shop from any legal liability claims against them should a failure occur. Therefore, unless you're cool with the shop manager you'll need to take the entire engine/tank kit off the bike first.
