Clutch is slipping

I’m having a hard time adjusting my clutch. Then tension in my clutch arm is good and has very little slack. I’ve replaced my pads and checked for dirt and all that jazz. Still nothing. I adjusted and readjusted the star nut and still my back wheel moves freely.

Welcome to the forum, did this happen suddenly? If so you may have shears a woodruff key under one of the gears, roll the rear wheel and watch the right side gears to see where the movement stops. The puller that comes with most kits will take any of the gears off if you're careful.

If all is ok try this, watch the clutch plate as you pull the clutch lever, it should barely break contact with the pads. I lock the lever in to adjust the star nut, it takes a little practice but you can get the hang of it.

Yes
