In all my years of hanging shower curtains,
the curtain rod has always been a pain in the butt to hang.

It's like a tease.

Did I get the right length?
Is this thing REALLY gonna stay up?

For how long???

Do I REALY want to make holes in the tile to hold this rod up?

Years ago, when the new rod fell in my bathroom,
I re-hung it ABOVE the tile walls,
so the tiles' ledges keep it from falling.

Of course, I had to extend the curtain rings, using white zipties.

The curtain were just long enough,
but it just doesn't look right.

When my wife's shower curtain fell,
I went thru the same frustrations of hanging the dam thing....

I got it!!

I put a hose clamp on the thinner rod,
right where it slips into the thicker rod!

Make sure you place the rod so that
the hose clamp is not where you slide open the curtain
(the curtain rings tend to hang up on the clamp).

Here's hoping this hack saves a bit of grief for fellow rod hangers.

Thanks for the tip but I got glass sliding doors on one shower and a glass swinging door on the other.

So Cal
I hear ya Tension shower curtain rods suck
Sorry ya had to use a hose clamp and zip ties, My old lady would never go for that.

Ya know there are stick on shower curtain rod cradles for tension shower curtain rods.
The cradle sticks on the tile then ya put the curtain rod end in the cradle

She no slip down no more

Oh, like the ones for the closet pole, yeah?

The hose clamp is same color as the rod.
It's like it was made for it.

Now if my grandkids would stop swinging on the curtain rods,
mo' better!:)
