Thank you, great place to venture too!

This Road Master is older But has been running strong for 9yrs. Wore out 2 rear sprockets but the same rag joint (still being used) has never given ma any problem. I forget if spokes are 12 or 11 gauge. The centrifugal clutch is also original and has mucho miles on it!

Ok so I gave up on using the other style hub and sprocket. I found out that the rear wheel hub I was trying to put rag joint on was to big, go figure, my luck. So I took a wheel that I had with a smaller hub and was able to put the rag joint and sprocket on. Now the next problem I ran into was centering the sprocket, darned if I can get it centered, any tricks, idea's as what the heck to do now, what a can of worms this has turned out to be. I was hoping to make it a fun thing to do. Spend my leisure time. Duh!
It has been a nightmare.]

Hey Russell how far can you go on a tank of fuel?

I can go till the tank is empty!

Actually on that small tank, I go about 20 Mi. I ride the same 20 Mi route each day and have never run out of fuel. However I always carry a 16 oz spare fuel container, which I have never needed.

It’s better to have it and not need it. The water bottle on the bike that’s my avatar is for fuel.
I mostly use belt drives on my builds. When I use a sprocket I put the axle in the vise, sprocket side up. Then clamp a bent coat hanger between two axle nuts as a pointer. This is used to both center & true the sprocket / rag joint.
