Tom, couldn't help noticing that eBay prices for the XLITE brake lamp are much better than Amazon's. There's even quite a variation in pricing amongst these lamps on eBay. As is most often the case, China seller I purchased mine from was most competitive and offered free shipping.
Old guys and old tractors, eh? Perfect combo. Back in remote Netherton where I used to live, we had a bunch of local farmers who would religiously arrive for their Sunday morning pint at village's Star Inn pub on their vintage tractors. For a supposedly informal pub session, the rivalry could get pretty intense. Some of those tractors were valuable assets. There was a time when I seriously coveted a Fowler Field Marshall. Starting one of those using a shotgun cartridge, hammer and smouldering rag was one of life's memorable experiences.
Mark, a pal of mine in the village who was a Northumberland National Park ranger, owned a little grey Fergie that I painted, occasionally helped maintain and drove. It's small size and weight was handy for hauling loads of quarried stone to remote areas in the Park without chewing-up the scenery, where ancient stone drover pathways were being restored by NP volunteers.
