I bought a motor bike and the only issue I’ve had is that the motor is HOTTT!! I burn my leg everytime I look back or turn my body. What can I put on the motor to prevent it from burning my leg on accident? I would rather not mount anything else to the bike. Would motorcycle exhaust wrap work? I don’t want to constrict or overheat anything.

I've been building & riding these bikes for over 11 years & I've only ever burned my leg once... & that was in a race with a over sized motorcycle pipe. :/

What part of the engine burned you?

Hello and thanks for your time. I wish I knew the specific names Of the parts but I’m still learning. It’s the main engine part/the motor. Pretty much all of it gets hot and I have to ride with my legs open. Maybe that’s every motor bike but I want to keep it safe for my wife to use.

I don't recommend wrapping the engine in heat wrap... (It will kill the engine very quickly).

I do recommend just learning to ride with your legs away from the engine. ;)

Hmmm...….I guess that my jeans have protected my legs. Fairly cheap, don't impede engine cooling, and offer a first layer of road rash protection. Never leave home without 'em.

I'm lost here, would have to see a pic of the bike - unless there's a v-8 stuffed in there, burns shouldn't happen.
