Hi everyone, I got obsessed with motorized bikes a couple months ago. After some thought and planning I built this bike.

My plan was to build a Colorado legal motorized bike (50cc). I wanted it to look like a bobber with a good looking tank. I wanted it to look clean and have the styling ques of a bobbed motorcycle and still look like a bike and not like some kind of screwed up motorcycle. I think I achieved that.

I am still going to build a custome exhaust, I recieved the parts today. I'll post new pics when I have them.

Thanks, I was a little reluctant to drill holes too, but after I started welding on custome mounts drilling some holes seemed like the thing to do. I would like to do it with motorcycle parts that truely hide the cables and wires. I drilled the holes and then put piece of rod in the hole and bent it so that it was directional. This also allowed me to deburr the part of the hole that contacts the cables and wires. I reinforced the wires with shrink tube where they pass through the hole, I could have done that with the cables but was running out of space in the holes.

Brett,
Welcome to the forum. Great looking ride, my man.
You're very close. When the weather breaks maybe we should get together. There are several of us Colorado guys, one in Loveland, Ft. Collins and Northglen. Thatsdax.com, one of the advertisers here and a well known supplier of parts and kits lives just a few blocks from me. Lets keep in touch.

Tom I smell a gathering brewing. Welcome Brett!

I'm digging your bike!

Watch that gooseneck though. You should be okay but we have a member here that had his snap off with the ape hangers while booking.

Welcome Brett. Love that tank, and also a neat build. Where did you get the tank. Thats what I've been looking for. Is that a tool container under the seat? Sounds like you know your way around motorcycles. Have fon on the forum.

Thanks for the advice on the goose neck.

The tank is a Mini Mustang, I got it at J&P Cycles online.

I really don't know my way around a motorcyle, I had a dirt bike as a teenager and a 250 street bike 22 years ago. That's it.

The fake oil tank under the seat has noting in it. I am planning on making another one with a tool kit in it.
