Update:
About the battery thing, it appears what they're trying to do is
design high charge capacitors using graphene & carbon nanotubes.
This technology would charge faster, last longer, and ultimately
be cheaper than lithium. They've now found a cheap way to recover
graphene. The next step would be a practical manufacture of
carbon nanotubes.

Biknut,
Awesome bike & videos!
I'm starting to get the bug to go electric.
Has anyone installed a Prius battery onto a bicycle yet?

Today's 'Instructables' show how to build your own graphene
super capacitor. However the process for making the graphene
is based on the Wu paper,(Toyota). Students at a university
whose name I can't recall, have come up with a much simpler
and cheaper way to extract graphene from graphite using a highly
diluted solution of dish soap.

I'm sure battery technology will keep advancing at a fast pace from now on, but as far a motor bicycles are concerned it's already good enough. My electric bicycle can out ride my china girls.

I used to ride home sucking fumes at 45 miles with my 1/2 gallon tank. I can easily ride 50 plus miles now on my electric.
