I just finished up some more intakes for the little HuaSheng 50's

They have a 19mm spigot, so any RT, NT or similar carb will clamp right on.

They use a 1/4" thick steel flange, and ship with studs & nuts.

Let your 50 breathe, and take advantage of the carburetors that are widely available.

Manifolds are $19.50 and will ship anywhere in the US for $5.80 - Small USPS flat rate box. I don't charge extra on shipping, if you want more than one item it all goes in the same flat rate box for $5.80

I also make an exhaust stub to fit this engine, and several other flanges.

Aleman:

I think the 49cc 4 stroke makes a fine bicycle engine. You are welcome

Glad I can offer something folks need or want.

Will this work for the smaller Mikuni's ?
If Mikuni makes a carb that clamps on a 19mm spigot like the china girl, then yes it will work.

If you want an intake with a flange to fit the PZ19 style Mikuni with the two bolt flange I can do that.

The 48mm bolt centers with the slight offset is standard for Mikuni & all the clones across a wide range of bores, from 17mm to 26mm. I have a standard flange for that carburetor range.

I would be concerned that a 19mm carb might be a little big for a 50cc HuaSheng - but if you want to try one I can make the manifold with the proper flange.

I have a big favor to ask of you: Can you make an intake for the china girl? 40mm bolt spacing, big enough for M6 bolts (GT5a/SR), with a 19mm (3/4") inside diameter and a 1" outside diameter? (outer diameter is more important if you cant match those exact measurements). If you can make them, I would be ordering many, many of them for my own and customer bikes. I just have a hard time finding the materials and skills where I live, and would happily pay $25 a piece!

EDIT: If you can do offset, or even curve it so it sticks out beyond the engine (maybe a 4-6" radius curve, this is just so it fits in the tight bicycle frames), that'd be another biiiig big bonus.

I have never seen one of the 40mm cylinders around here -the 33mm ones will not support a tube OD bigger than 3/4" (19mm). I have those flanges on the shelf.

I can run some flanges for the 40mm spacing if there is a market. Anybody else that is interested in a manifold to fit that cylinder please chime in

I have to ask - what sort of carburetor are you using with a 1" OD tube?.
I can make a manifold that meets those requirements. How many units are we talking about?

The GT5a and Superrat use 40mm bolt spacing but my request may be moot, I found a compatible scooter (Minarelli V1 and V1L) whos intake manifolds are the same size as the 5a/SR intakes, and can be found in 19mm I.D. (what I was requesting) all the way up to 24mm I.D.. I know the regular HT's normally use 32mm spacing and I calculated that in order to have usable bolts, the intake for those motors is already their maximum size. I only have 2 5a cylinders, one of which is actually being used, but my friend and I have been building HT bikes for customers for a while now and since speeddemon.ca doesn't sell the kits anymore, the only seller left (that I can find with a decent price anyway) sells GT5a and GT2a motors, both of which have 40mm spacing. But the amount of intakes I'd need entirely depends on how many customers want more power. So... I suppose in short I need at least 1 right now, but I have 3 more customers considering bikes, and I plan on rebuilding my primary bike with bigger reeds. (40mm spacing, M6 bolts have 10mm heads, so 5mm from each side leaves 30mm between them. 1" = 25.4mm, 4.6mm between the pipe and the bolt heads leaves 2.3mm to spin them, which is 0.3mm more than the space between a standard 32mm HT and the intake pipe. So I figure it should work. I know the 19mm O.D. of the 32mm HT's is the maximum, but the 5a's give us lots more space for a bigger, properly sized pipe and carb :)

Actually, I can get a 7/8" OD tube on the small flange, which gives me a .770 ID with.049 wall steel tube:

Glad you found something that will work for you on that unusual cylinder.

oh wow, looks like you've got a really good welding technique compared to the china crap. How much space is between the bolt head and the pipe? because I imagine it'd be about 22mm, and assuming its a 32mm spacing, that's.... well... no space at all (M6 = 10mm head = 5mm either side = no space). So I imagine it's got to be a little bit bigger (I dont know what the 4G kit sits at). Still thats tight. So I imagine you could probably do a 1-1/8" O.D. pipe with 40mm spacing. The intake I found all aim straight up, making it useless for our bikes. there's a 4-petal reed kit that sticks straight out to the side though, but a pipe for customers would work.

Hi FFV8. The HS 142F intake manifold fits the honda GHX 50, would it fit the honda GX 100? Do you know if the NT carb can be modified to work on the GX 100, or do you know of a carb that will work? I believe the GX 100 is a very good engine and with the vertical cylinder it looks good. Thankyou for the high quality aftermarket parts for the 50cc HS 142F.

I have another 142F HS 49cc engine sitting here and some new 2-stroke carbs, I'll give one a try, how can I PayPal you to ship one over to Phoenix, AZ?

I can't say for sure if they will fit the GX100. I do make a manifold to fit the Lifan 152F which seems very similar. I will see if the local shop has an intake gasket for the Honda to check.

As for carburetors, I would recommend the PZ19 type carb. We have used replacement carbs for the XR75 honda with great results. Around 20 bucks on e-bay.

I sent you a PM with my paypal info - I don't think I am allowed to post it here.

I have both intakes & exhaust stubs in stock for the HuaSheng 142, and as always I combine shipping on orders.

This is one of Brad's intakes installed. Super high quality! Of note, using this cheap-o NTTC carb, no choke is required to get her started. Also cures all the clearance woes on a GT-2s frame.

Bummer you are still using the stage III transfer case, what a nightmare gear reduction system.

I have used XR75 carbs with great results for years on Briggs&Stratton engines....they seem to have perfect jetting for the flatties.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone here that has bought from me already, and let any new customers know that I will be out of town for the rest of this week.

So if you send me a PM to order parts, I will not be available to respond or ship anything until Monday, June 30th.

Thanks for all the support here!

Brad
