They aren't the only vender that makes a false claim that their Chinese motor is made in the USA.

I didn't see anywhere that it said 'Made in the USA', it's just called an American motor by name, and I think that's the rub.

I guess if you wanted to, you could paint an engine red and white, and call it a Polish motor, or paint it red, white and green and call it an Italian motor, or paint it red, black and green and call it an African motor...etc.

My guess would be that they are assembled here in the USA... maybe by someone who has a bit of a clue as to building engines using only the best quality parts. That, I could see maybe spending the extra money, for someone who cant or don't want to rebuild an engine to use.

then again, maybe it is just some very expensive paint

I am insulted that they think I could believe the motor is American. Just another vendor I WILL NEVER buy from.
