Isn't the Point Beach an aluminum frame?
I only have the Jaquars which are basically the same frame and steel.

steel frames with a 1" seat tube are 1 1/8" OD

aluminum frames with a 1" seat tube are 1 1/4" OD

Just went out and measured my Point Beach.
1 1/2" down tube, 1 1/4" seat tube.
Damm you are good, MBR!

How come we never saw your Jaguars when we were doing the member's collage?
The Jag was a once very popular candidate for motorizing. Strong frame, good styling and except for needing a custom front engine mount lended itself well to motorizing. I still have one and a neighbor owns another one I built. Great bikes but needed a lay back seat post for us taller guys.
