My first group ride and the weather sucked initially then got much better. I was torn between stopping at breakdowns or to just keep on goin'. I had no tools or anything with me but a GoPro that I never even used. I did get some nice pictures of my finger though. It was so bright out I couldn't see my phones screen.

Thanks, I enjoyed it. My finger or part of my finger was covering the camera lens in all of my shots. I couldn't see my phone screen because of the sun, so I just shot blindly, not knowing how it would look. LOL

Hopefully someone else took some pics or vids.

I watched too many Youtube videos of my exact bike lock cable being cut in half in about 5 seconds that I didn't want to take my eyes off of it for 1 second. I will have a titanium reinforced hexagonal linked chain next time.
Youtube will make you paranoid like no other. LOL

I went back to Venice Beach that same day, killed the gas engine, jumped on the beach bike path and electrically rode to the Santa Monica Pier and back, then went home on gas and electric. 48 miles total. I think that's a one day record for me.

The next bike I build will travel from Marina Del Rey to Malibu and back without ever leaving the sand or pedaling a single stroke. No bike path or gasoline required.......ever. Yes, I know I'm crazy. LOL
