well got the motor up running...but i lost the screw that tightens the cable to the clutch.. any body no where i could get a replacement? or what could be used instead? some thing i could pick up locally?

check you local hardware store, mine has an isle with tons of little drawers with specialty hardware. some sort of lawn mower throttle stop or split bolt should do the trick.

Unfortunately you'd have to wait for shipping, just for such a dinky part.

I agree, go to Ace or True Value or something like that and poke around through the specialty stuff. In a pinch, you could get a small bolt and nut (1/4-20 maybe) and drill a small hole through the bolt near the head. poke the cable through and tighten the nut very tight.

Take the brass piece with you to Home Depot and match the hole. unsure if metric or not.

maybe cost you 5cents to 50 cents.

Oh.

Do you mean you just lost the screw, not the whole piece? yeah just go to HD or Ace or something with the brass piece and find a match.
