I am building 2 rock crawlers for Mumzie and myself.
We are going to be climbing the mountain we live on
through the bush and on the railroad tracks.

I NEED some info on BIG sprockets from guys that
have them. Top speed, climbing ability, Pros,Cons.
Anything bigger than 44 tooth please post.

I did a search and can't find anything.
Anyone run a 70 tooth sprocket.

We are going to run happys with automatics.

I did use a 50t when I was 2smokin' though ;)
the town I live in has killer hills everywhere (20sq miles, 1600ft elevation change) and the 50 worked great,,,your engine will be revving higher to reach the same speed, but you will have much better 'launch' ;)

Hi Bill

Can you remember when you were runnin a 50T how fast top
speed was and about what grade you could climb without
powering out on your 2 smoke.

I don't think we will need more than 15-20 MPH. but I want
to climb straight up a wall... :)

I never had any problem with any hill here while I was running the 50 (I think I topped out around 25)

a 56 would climb a wall I am thinking ;)
