Hey has anyone riden the Cherry Creek Trail between Alameda and 8th. The week that I am down there I need to see my Prosthesist and the only way to get there (17th & Humbolt) from my daughter's place (Alameda & Harlan) is to ride a stretch of the trail. I'm just concerned that down in Denver the "Trail Nazis" might get upset about me riding on it like they do up here in FC.

yeah that would be a bad idea...not so much the trail nazis...but just the reg people...and them calling the cops etc throwing things etc......stay in contact with me about time etc...i should be able to either give you a ride or ride over with ya...i ride in denver all the time...pm me with your starting point etc ill get you setup with an appropriate route...or just pick you up and such ...either way...

This week is gonna be warming up, Thursday (5th) is supposed to be close to 70 degrees they say. I think that would be an ideal day for some riding. Who's up for some trails, a burger, and some much needed warm weather riding?

If its in the early afternoon, I'd love to drive up and join you. My wife made an appointment for someone to come out to look at and repair our gas fire place in the morning. I'm stuck from 8-12 and hope they come sooner so I can take my bike out.

what do you guys plan for this rideing season ?
I have came up with a few more route options for us to choose from. In addition to the 70 mile loop I used last year, these routes should be about the same distance if not a little longer, and through different parts of the metro area: south, east, and if they hurry up with the trail then north as well. That should give us a good choice of routes depending on what type of ride we want, and what part of the city we would like to see that particular DAR Saturday. Should be a very nice new riding season; some of us will have new builds to share and there will be more members to ride the trails with us hopefully. :)

I'm looking forward to some warm weather. I went for a short ride a couple of days ago and froze my fingers and nose. Old guys can't take the cold like you youngsters.
I'm spending my time in my heated garage working on the new build.
Wish spring was here.

I rode last Thursday when it was 60 deg F outside. I had a blast and got to burn old fuel that had been sitting in the tank.
I'm sick of winter already. I wish Spring season actually existed in Colorado and Summer was longer. Hard to believe that its not unusual for it to snow in mid-May.

Who needs May or summer? Its Jan and today it will be 60, 61 mon and 55 tues and its dry. Fire it up and ride I am.
I ride whenever I can, as long as the roads & trails are good. Spring is right around the corner; this will be the 2nd season for the Denver Rides. It should be a good season too, about half of us have built or are building new bikes over the winter and can't wait to get them on the trails. I'm hoping that the numbers will continue to grow and we get more people out there with us. Stay tuned to the event section for the next DAR.
r.ly.
